CADTECH, in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes, has reached an agreement with the UPC Space Program team from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) to support its mission to develop innovative drones using advanced technology. This agreement represents a significant boost for the team in its goal of leading innovation in the aerospace field, starting with the design and development of a new drone prototype using the design and simulation tools of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
Driving drone innovation
The UPC Space Program is a pioneering student initiative that encompasses several ambitious projects grouped into four active missions: ARES for rocket development, ATLAS as the drone mission, GRASS focused on rovers (robotics), and finally Horus, which designs nanosatellites. In this first collaboration, the team will focus on the drone mission, ATLAS, using the design, simulation, and collaboration capabilities of 3DEXPERIENCE to optimize every aspect of its prototype.
Thanks to this alliance, the team will be able to take its development to the next level by improving structural accuracy, aerodynamic performance, and system integration in its UAVs. This approach not only enhances its technical capabilities but also prepares the team to tackle more complex aerospace challenges.
Advanced simulation training
The collaboration also includes a training program designed to help students master the advanced simulation tools of 3DEXPERIENCE. This learning covers everything from structural simulation to fatigue analysis, enabling the team to develop key skills to carry out more ambitious projects in the future.
A commitment to aerospace talent
The alliance between CADTECH, Dassault Systèmes, and the UPC Space Program reflects a shared commitment to the education and development of young talent in aerospace engineering. This agreement not only equips students with state-of-the-art tools but also fosters creativity and prepares future engineers to lead the aerospace industry.
